Saint Aubin is one my favourite white villages in Burgundy or maybe the whole world. It is slightly less expensive than their neighbours in Puligny, Chassagne and Meursault but they always deliver high quality white wines.
Especially this premier cru from the plot "En Remilly" is always a winner independent of which producer has made the wine.
In my experience white premier cru Burgundies should have at least 5 years in the bottle before being consumed. This enables the wine to develop and show it's true character.
When you drink a wine like this then you look for lime, butter, herbs and nuts on the nose with a big solid taste with some minerality.
It will set you back 30-40€, but it's worth it.
