Life is too short to drink bad wine

This is a delightful version of the Dolcetto grape. From two single plots in Barolo called Cote & Fossati. The colour is always dark red with a wonderful purple rim, a bit like blueberry juice. On the nose it is filled with dark fruit, a bit smoky and something acidic, like beetroot in a way. The taste is fresh, juicy, firm with a lovely acidity and medium soft tannins. Quite a long aftertaste and medium body. No oak, just bottle maturation. This is the perfect red wine for warm summer days. The grape Dolcetto has a lovely purple colour that hangs around in the glass for a very long time. A bit like beetroot in a way. This Dolcetto d'Alba by the newly diseased Bruno Giacosa is a full-bodied version packed with fruit and elegant tannins. Lovely smell of the red and dark berries. Supersoft and fruity taste with a refreshing acidity and well integrated medium high tannins. Elegant and juicy wine. Try with pasta, light meat dishes or on its own. Dolcetto is a delightful wine from Piemonte that can remind you of a Beaujolais from France. Light and easy drinking red, absolutely tannin free and thus perfect for every day drinking with lots of diffrent food including white fish. Excellent dark purple colour with a smell of beetroot, cherries and hints of chocolate. Lots of acidity but nicely balanced with a refreshing taste packed with dark fruit. Bought this at Palas Cerequio for 10€ and it is a delightful Dolcetto from the the plot called Le Coste. Deep purple colour and the beetroot/chocolate smell. Dolcetto is the perfect red for those hot summer lunches. It always has this beautiful deep purple colour. Absolutely lovely. The nose is often beetroot like with hints of dark cherries and chocolate. The taste is light bodied with a pronounced acidity, but dark cherry fruit and light tannins make it a very decent match with most light lunch food. Dolcetto d'Alba 2011 Ceretto, 13€ Lunch....
