Meursault 1er cru Poruzots by Jobard

Jobard is a very good producer of Meursault wines and especially the premier crus like Poruzots. The 2008 vintage is drinking perfectly now and offers a wonderful palate and taste. Notes of butter, lime and some spices on the nose. Super delicious balanced taste with a lively acidity. This wine is perfect with fried cod but also other types of seafood and white fish. A truly great Chardonnay wine that is unfortunately just getting more and more expensive. Ca 40-50€....

Chambolle Musigny 2009

This premier cru plot called les Charmes by Patrice Rion is a wonderful red Burgundy. It's silky, smooth and wonderfully balanced. The tannins are soft and elegant. The taste is big, fruity, delightful and ever so complex. The aromas are filled with fresh red fruit, a bit of chocolate and some smoke. The wine can keep for 5-10 more years but it's drinking beautifully now. High price ca 600kr or 45€.

Barbera d'Alba by Pelissero

There are some Barbera better than others and this one by Pelissero is one of the top class Barbera around. Barbera is recognized by it's deep red purple colour and the same goes for this Piani from 2012. The nose is quite intense with lots of dark fruit, plum and beet root . The taste is juicy with lots of fruit and a great acidity. Some tannins in the aftertaste which is of the smooth kind. Barbera d'Alba 2012 Piani Pelissero Ca 15€ or 220kr

Crudo Shiraz

This is a delightful and silky Shiraz from the Yarra Valley in Australia. The colour is deep and dark red with a purple rim. Lovely smell of dark fruit, herbs and some leather and smoke. A bit atypical Australian Shiraz which is why it is a bit fascinating to sample. The taste is very juicy and long with a surprisingly cool dark fruit and very soft tannins. A very decent Shiraz indeed! Try with game, lamb, entrecôte or cheese. 240kr or 20$.

Prado Enea 2005

This is the flagship of Muga in Rioja. A glorious Gran Reserva made from predominantly Tempranillo (80%) mixed with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. The wine is dark as ink with a gorgeous smell  of dark fruit, spices, tobacco and wood.  Superb stuff. The taste is big, solid, packed with fruit and delicious tannins. Great balance and a very long we'll balanced aftertaste. The wine can be drunk now but can still develop and  mature for at least ten more years. One of the best Riojas that I have ever tasted. A truly great wine!!! Prado Enea 2005 Rioja Ca 30€ or 370kr
