Clos de Vougeot 2004

Still at the 28-50 wine bar in London.... So what can wrong when you order a top Burgundy by a top producer that is nearly 10 years old...? Nothing really. A bit slow start , but than the nose opens up with massive red fruit and a touch of minerality. The taste is very firm as can be expected from a Clos de Vougeot, but Arnoux has managed to move towards the soft and elegant side. Big massive finish that seems to go on and on... Omg... Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2004 Robert Arnoux, His plot is 0,45 ha... Not cheap....

Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru 2007

This premier cru by Colin-Morey is just stunning. Picked from the special wine list at the 28-50 wine bar in London. The wine has just the most amazing bouquet with a mixture of text book lime, butter and minerals. A very pure and elegant smell which is also reflected in the taste. Beautifully balanced taste where each sip nearly becomes like a religious ritual. The taste, the balance and the finish are just so perfect and with a great minerality all across the specter. White wine does not get better than this, just more expensive or different. Chassagne Montrachet 1er cru Les Champs Gains 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey     Shockingly good.....

Scherrer Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2007

This is a delightful Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley in California. Packed with ripe red fruit and dark cherries. It's drinking beautifully now with a big firm velvety taste. A very seductive wine that is very difficult to resist or being to "sweet" like many other Pinot from California. Scherrer Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Super seductive stuff High price 330 NOK

Santenay Vielles Vignes 2010

Rene Lequin-Colin makes delicious white Burgundies, but this red Burgundy from an area called Santenay south in Burgundy shows that he has talent for red as well. Nice and attractive nose of dark berries, some sweet vanilla and chocolate with a well balanced fruity taste. Not a big Burgundy, but it definitely does the trick. Santenay Vieilles Vignes 2010 Rene Lequin-Colin    Ca 195 NOK or 15€
