Life is too short to drink bad wine

Omg...what is there to say? Certain Burgundy producers have certain styles and de Montille has one that just oozes of quality and finesse. Delicious red fruit on the nose and a massive silky long and complex taste. Great acidity that matches the fruit and tsoft tannins perfectly. It's pricy (100$) but oh so good. It's a fantastic experience to drink de Montille wines. A truly special style focusing on clean subtle fruit with tremendous finesse. Pommard Les Pezerolles 2008 Domaine de Montille Ca 80€

A decent red Burgundy in a well hidden wine bar called "Terres a vins" in Strasbourg. In this place you can either just buy wine from a very good menu or drink it at the place for an additional fee of 10€. A nice concept. This Pommard was well and firm structured wine with a well balanced tannic taste. Discrete smell of red berries and a bit earthy. Pommard 1er cru Pezerolles 2007 Domaine Ballot Millot Ca 40€ plus the fee

We visited Burgundy in 2007 and visited among others the Chateau Pommard in Pommard just south of Beaune. Burgundy red, made of 100% Pinot Noir various a lot in character and among the "darkest" and most heavy are those of Pommard. The 2004 has a deep dark colour to be a burgundy and has a smell of sweet cherries, mushroom and smoke. The taste is big, fruity, solid and very smooth and well balanced. Overall the wine is solid built but silky. It cost 30 euro at the chateau. Stiff price so only P in terms of price quality range. Grands vins de Bourgogne - Chateau de Pommard
